We know the ballet is not for everyone, but there is something magical about seeing the Nutcracker during the holidays. Expect fresh world-class choreography, awe-inspiring set designs and stunning original costumes.

This is our family’s favorite holiday tradition. We can spend hours just sitting quietly and listening to the synchronized music and lights. Thousands of lights are on display throughout the Botanical Garden during the holiday season. Weather can be hit or miss and we have run into rain on a couple of occasions but even rain cannot ruin our joy !!!!. Some displays are even paired with music, so venture around with a hot apple cider and enjoy the magical experience.
Added bonus: There is a DJ playing family friendly music and kids of all ages can enjoy making smores for a small additional fee.

Okay Ill confess. I am a hot mess on ice and spend most of the time crashing, but its still tons of fun tomake it to the roof top and watch my kids have fun. The rink on the Roof at Ponce City Market offers amazing views of the Atlanta skyline. They also have private igloos you can rent to escape the cold. If you are not a skater like I am, Skyline Park offers unlimited games for you to enjoy.
Local Tip: It’s much windier and colder on the roof, so layer up
